Personality: Talim is perhaps the most peaceful character from the Soul Calibur series. She tries to resolve issues without violence and has a constant sense of balance in nature. Talim is more or likely the young fighter of the series, which gives her a sort of innocent aura (which is denoted by the village elders not wanting her to be exposed to the real world). She's not always confident, but always tries to reassure herself in those times. As part of self-reflection, Talim talks to herself in third-person. However, she has a strong will that could be compared to Yuna's from Final Fantasy X. Overall, Talim is one level-headed girl.



Background: Talim, the 15-year-old grand-daughter of the village elder, is the Last Priestess of the Wind in her time period. Belief in the Wind Deity waning and western influences growing is what is believed to have caused this. On the day that the evil spirit was spread, Talim read the winds and the "evil" aura blew into her knocking her unconscious. Some time later, a westerner brought a vitality charm (which was actually a piece of Soul Edge) to the village, and Talim decided to go out and, "Return this to its rightful place!" Eventually though, she learns that she must destroy it. She then left with her parents' support to tackle the world head-on.

About after Soul Calibur II ends, Soul Edge has been destroyed, and Talim wanders around for a bit and one day reads the wind. The aura of evil that was there before still lurked though, and Talim was suspicious of whether or not it was actually destroyed. Thus, Talim decided to enroll in Ergheiz to research the possibility that Soul Edge might not be destroyed, for she knew that even a faint trace of evil in the wind can lead to a hurricane in the future.
